Unfortunately I don't know the historical roots of the surname Puertollano. I have been working off and on with an Alibata project and as I was doing some research online I ended up discovering Nico and his work. Since he is the one with the last name Puertollano, I would contact him directly. There is a link to his website in my blog interview on him and his work. I think it is awesome that your friend is trying to discover the historical roots of her family and you are helping her in the process. Its great to have the understanding of where your family is from and also discover their upbringing and the world that they lived in.
